All the functions and features that will be part of the great annual update of Google’s software have not yet been aired, but some of the main ones are already known. And, for the moment, some new features attract attention. Google has officially presented this Thursday to Android P, code name with which is known the next version of the mobile operating system, which will begin to be available from summer.
At the moment, the platform has been opened to the users developers so that they begin to familiar with their new technical requirements. The idea is to present the collection of functions in the next Google I / O conference, scheduled for the month of May. Another new feature that will be part of Android P is in its connection systems. The next version of the platform will include Wifi RTT (Round Trip Time). A technology designed to improve indoor positioning. The idea is to obtain information from WiFi hotspots to achieve a more accurate location. Something that may make use of future applications designed to enhance the “smart home” given that it will reach where GPS systems do not reach. The position of the device can be calculated with a maximum precision of between 1 and 2 meters. An interesting idea to “penetrate” inside buildings.
In Android P, the improvement of visibility and notifications will be prioritized. How? It is true that as we accumulate applications, we also accumulate alerts everywhere, many of them unnecessary and dispensable. What we are working on is the idea of being able to manage these messages more efficiently. Although at the visual level will not mean major changes, the operating system will allow you to show conversations, attach images, add “stickers” or schedule automatic responses in a more agile way.
